The logistician is responsible for the logistics and management aspects on board of the vessel.
Please note that this is a paid position.
Responsibilities
The logistician assists every department on whatever needed, both when the ship is at shipyard and at sea.
Before rescue operations the logistician ensures the vessel is well supplied and equipped for the mission; they are responsible for the stocks and inventories.
After disembarkation of survivors, the logistician makes sure the inventory is updated and places the orders for restocking for the following mission.
Requirements
Experience with general logistics management (preferably on board vessels).
Experience with IT and telecommunications.
Fluent Italian and English.
Skills
Strong motivation and commitment towards ResQ’s core objectives.
Ability to work and live in a restricted and diverse environment.
High flexibility and spirit of adaptability. Willingness to take part in the daily life of the ship.
